HELLO! MY NAME IS EILEEN.
With an "A" not an "EYE."
I discovered my love for design and the web at the age of 12, when I was immersed in the virtual world of Neopets. After learning how to create some amazing guild layouts on Jasc Paint Shop Pro (& later, a cracked version of Adobe Photoshop 5), I taught myself some html and css to help bring those layouts to life. My high school was fortunate to have visual design courses and enrolled in practically all of them. By working on projects ranging from fansites to invitations, or helping my friends navigate through a website and customize their project presentations, I knew that working in the realm of design, technology, and education was right for me.
After completing my BFA in Graphic Design, I'm still exploring different paths in design and teaching. It was during this time that she was drawn to cause- and mission- based organizations. Over the past five years, I have has gone on to work as the in-house design team (staff and volunteer) for a number of non-profit organizations, social and economic initiatives, cultural instutions, corporate events and educational programs. While her core interests have evolved to include more of a backend and cognitive focus, her love for graphic design is remains steadfast and true.
When I'm not working on a design project, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family; playing video games; reading books; making lists; teaching and learning; and dreaming big.
